I also love the Harbourmaster in Aberaeron which is also in a lovely spot near the sea front. In 2026, the Harbourmaster was named by Jeremy Clarkson as the "best hotel in the world."! Their food is really great. Aberaeron is about a 15 minute drive but its a really pretty town and the restaurant is excellent, so its definitely worth a visit. There are various nice pubs in New Quay that do decent food. Places I have enjoyed include Hotel Penwig which overlooks the harbour, the Black Lion, and the Penrhiwllan Inn. If you want somewhere which is just a short walk away (300 metres - just carry on down the hill from the house and its on the corner) you have the Cambrian which I haven't tried yet, but it gets good reviews. There are various fish and chip bars down at the harbour. My favourite is the Lime Crab. Lovely cod and chips which you can eat sitting on the harbour wall. Mind the seagulls don't steal your chips though!
